Travis, a resident of Sharon Springs since 2002, passed away after a long illness in the loving care of her husband, on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown. Sharon Springs-Beatrice Mallery, a lifelong resident of Sharon Springs, died on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at her residence. Beatrice was predeceased by her husband, Myron; he died in 2004 at age 100. She was a 1960 graduate of Ichabod Crane High School and then a longtime teller for Albany Savings Bank. Subsequently, she then owned and operated Masse Farms with her husband, both in Rensselaer County and in Sharon Springs. Also, she was a longtime choir member of the United Methodist Church in Chatham.
